GARDAÍ HAVE RELEASED photos of cash and drugs seized in the Netherlands.
The pictures show part of a haul netted yesterday in an operation targeting the Kinahan crime cartel.
In total, 175 kilos of cocaine was seized, along with vacuum-packed cash and bitcoin.
Three Irish men, two from Limerick and one from Dublin were arrested in the Irish-Dutch operation. Eight people were arrested in total.
At home, two men have been charged in connection with a drugs find in Ashbourne, Co Meath.
Gardaí uncovered over €7 million worth of cannabis and cocaine hidden in two storage units in Ashbourne on Wednesday.
Assistant Commissioner John O’Driscoll told RTÉ that gardaí wouldn’t be identifying “any particular crime gang” involved in this raid, adding that “it may be a conglomerate of crime gangs” working together.
Minister for Justice Charlie Flanagan said that the Meath seizure was the result of “a great deal of painstaking work” and congratulated all those involved in the operation.
