Man arrested and firearm seized in Coolock

The arrest was part of investigations into dissident republican activity.

A MAN HAS been arrested and a firearm seized by Gardaí as part of investigations into dissident Republican activities.

The man was arrested in the Coolock area of Dublin at around 6.30pm last night and the firearm was seized during the arrest, Gardaí say.

In in his early 20s, the man is currently being held at Blanchardstown Garda station under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.
