Poll: Should politicians be allowed a free vote on upcoming abortion legislation?

Sinn Féin members will vote on a motion that will allow members to vote in accordance with their conscience today.

A SINN FÉIN motion calling for members to be allowed vote on the issue of abortion according to their conscience is due to be voted on today.

The party is holding a special Ard Fheis in Belfast today, where two of the key motions in relation to the party’s position in relation to the upcoming legislation which will give effect to the recent Eighth Amendment referendum result.

One of the motions will ask that members be allowed “articulate and vote” in accordance with their conscience.

So, today we’re asking: Should politicians be allowed a free vote on the upcoming abortion legislation?
