The augmented reality game utilises a smartphone’s camera and GPS functions to immerse users in a world where they can catch Pokémon.

The App has been a huge success, and has already surpassed the likes of Twitter and other social media platforms in terms of daily active users.

Servers in Ireland went down for a time yesterday as wannabe trainers scrambled to download the official App and get catching.
