Fire brought under control at Rathmines leisure centre

A small fire broke out at the centre this afternoon, but was brought under control within 20 minutes.

A FIRE WAS brought under control in Rathmines, Dublin, this afternoon.

The fire broke out at Rathmines Swan Leisure Centre at around 4pm today, and two vehicles from the Dublin Fire Brigade were sent to attend.

A spokesperson from the fire brigade said that it was a small fire and it was brought under control and extinguished by 4.25pm.

The leisure centre was evacuated, and it took almost one hour to clear the building of smoke.
