GARDAÍ IN BALIEBORO, Co Cavan are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision in which a man in his 50′s was killed.
The collision occurred on the Cootehill to Mountain Lodge Road at around 7.50pm yesterday.
The man was fatally injured when his tractor left the road and overturned. He was taken to Cavan General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The stretch of road is currently closed pending the completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact Bailieboro Garda Station on 042-9694570, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
