THE NEXT VERSION of Apple’s iPhone will be not as revolutionary an update as had at one point been predicted, according to the latest reports.
The latest so-called “industry checks” by Jefferies analyst Peter Misek indicate that the next iPhone will “include minor cosmetic changes, better cameras, A5 dual-core processor, and HSPA+ support,” reports Business Insider.
Misek suggests that the new model will be an iPhone 4S and not an iPhone 5, in much the same way that the iPhone 3G was updated to iPhone 3GS with a faster processor a couple of years ago.
Last month Joshua Topolsky released a mock-up design of what the next iPhone will look like based on the information that has so far emerged about the new version, due for release in September.
The new model will be more bling but not too much revolution according to PC World’s take on the latest analysis.
According to Misek, Apple will likely announce that Sprint, T-Mobile, and China Mobile will carry the next version of the iPhone meaning that the company plans to support a much wider range of radio configurations in the next-generation iPhone.
