Poll: Should there be a limit on the amount of alcohol people buy at airports?
Ryanair has called for restrictions in the UK following a spike in alcohol-related incidents.

RYANAIR HAS CALLED on airports in the UK to limit the sale of alcohol after a rise in disruptive behaviour.

Figures compiled by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) show there has been a significant rise in disturbances caused by airline passengers in recent years. In 2013, 85 dangerous incidents were recorded, while the figure rose to 421 last year. The majority of these incidents were related to excessive alcohol consumption.

Ryanair has proposed banning the sale of all alcohol in airport bars and restaurants before 10am and limiting the number of drinks per passenger to a maximum of two. It also recommended the sale of alcohol should be limited during flight delays to prevent excessive drinking.

Ryanair told Fora there are currently no plans to encourage Irish airports to introduce similar limits as the issue is more prevalent in the UK.
