ALLSOP SPACE AUCTIONEERS has announced a record-breaking auction planned for next month with lots including a Christmas tree farm in Wicklow and a golf course in Kildare.
Some 150 properties will come under the hammer on 10 December at the RDS in Dublin.
The lots are composed primarily it commercial and investment properties and have a combined reserve of €20 million – by far the largest ever recorded in Ireland.
Along with a raft of residential and commercial properties, there are also a few out of the ordinary lots that may catch your fancy if you have a few hundred thousand euro lying around.
In Redcross, Wicklow, the Christmas tree farm at Ballinvalley is up for auction with a reserve of €45,000. The farm is currently planted with coniferous trees with the land extending to approximately 19.3 hectares. Think of the festive possibilities…

Ashford Fair Filling Station in Wicklow, with a forecourt, shop and garden centre, has a reserve of €250,000 to €300,000.
There is also a 27 bedroom hotel up for grabs with a three-bed house attached and sea views. Included are a bar, conservatory, residents’ drawing room, restaurant, TV room, snooker room, staff accommodation and a tennis court.

Woodlands Golf Course, with its 18 hole course on 127 acres contains changing facilities, a members’ bar, offices, a pro shop and a kitchen, with a reserve prices of €625,000 to €675,000.

Allsop Space Director of Auctions, Robert Hoban said the level of interest in having properties sold through the company’s auctions is at “an unprecedented level”.
“We believe that the auction process we have now featured on several occasions has become so successful because they are seen to be honest, open, transparent, accountable and speedy, with good results for vendor and purchaser,” he added.
