Energia to create 100 jobs in residential power move

The business provides energy and gas to 65,000 businesses, but will move into residential power in early 2014.

IRELAND’S LARGEST INDEPENDENT energy provider is moving into the residential power business – and says they will create 100 jobs in the process.

Energia currently provides power and gas to around 65,000 businesses nationwide and from 2014 will move into the residential energy business.

Based in Dublin and Cork, the new jobs will be in the management, sales, marketing and operational areas of the business. Energia has already recruited 20 of the new positions as part of its residential market preparations.

The company will offer deals for staff of existing business customers, said retail director Gary Ryan.

“We are very pleased to create these new jobs as we plan our further growth and development into the wider residential market.”
