THERE IS NO possibility that Ireland will find out this week whether the interest rate on the IMF/EU bailout will be cut.
The Government will have wait for the results of the bank stress tests to be published before any decision will be taken, according to EU sources speaking to RTE in Brussels.
However, those results won’t emerge until Thursday of next week. It is understood that Taoiseach Enda Kenny will continue to hammer home Ireland’s position on our corporate tax rate and bailout interest rate at the two-day EU leaders’ summit tomorrow and Friday.
