PTSB card rejected at the till tonight? The problem should be fixed now

People all over the country have had their cards rejected today.

PEOPLE ALL OVER the country have been complaining about problems with their Permanent TSB cards today.

There were dozens of reports of cards not being recognised at checkouts and ATMs over the last few hours — and people have been taking to Twitter to find out what’s going on…

PTSB announced shortly before 7pm that the problem had been resolved — without going into any more detail.

But some customers complained that their balances were still showing withdrawals that had never gone through.

Others complained that they had been trying to make contact with PTSB earlier — but were unable to get through…

A PTSB spokesman confirmed to TheJournal.ie this evening that the problem had lasted less than half an hour, and was resolved at around 6.25pm.

He said all issues had now been resolved, and apologised to customers for the inconvenience.
