Flights to the US from €149 as WOW Air enters Irish market
The Icelandic carrier will fly to Boston and Washington, via Reykjavik – from later this year.
LOW COST CARRIER ‘WOW air’ has announced a new transatlantic service from Dublin, starting this October.
The Icelandic carrier will fly to Boston and Washington, via Reykjavik — and is promising flights as low as €149 (one way, including taxes).
Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
WOW announced back in October that the airline would fly from Dublin to Reykjavik, offering the first ever direct scheduled flights between Ireland and Iceland. That route begins on 2 June next.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer our WOW prices for Irish passengers travelling between Dublin and North America,” CEO Skúli Mogensen said in a statement.
“Our aim is to transform low-cost transatlantic flights and make travel to the US affordable for everybody.”
The airline was founded in 2011 by Icelandic entrepreneur Skúli Mogensen, and flew its one millionth passenger last December.
