Man in critical condition following overnight assault in Donegal

A 19-year-old man was arrested in the aftermath of the incident.

A 46-YEAR-OLD man is in a critical condition in Sligo Regional Hospital after a violent assault in Co Donegal last night.

The incident ocurred at a house on the Tullan Strand Road in Bundoran at around 1am reports Ocean FM.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for public order offences and taken to Ballyshannon Garda Station, a Garda spokesman has confirmed to TheJournal.ie.

The arrested man has since been released.

The house in which the assault took place is being preserved pending a Garda Forensic Examination.
