The lights have been turned on at Dublin city's Christmas Village

The Christmas Village at Dublin’s Custom House Quay is open.

EARLIER THIS MONTH we found out about the Christmas Village setting up in Dublin’s Custom House Quay – basing itself and its huge tree on the Rockefeller Centre in New York.

Well, it’s just opened to the public and it looks magical:

They opened the Christmas market last evening, and turned the lights on on the huge 50 foot Christmas tree

The Christmas Village will feature food and crafts, a Christmas market, Santa himself and a host of other festive treats in the Custom House Quarter.

But let’s face it, we’re all just here for the Christmas tree at night
