Cavan activist Kathryn Reilly is another young politician representing Sinn Féin at the polls, partnering Caoimhghin O Caolain in the Cavan-Monaghan constituency. Although this is the first election for the young woman from Ballyjamesduff, she has already familiarised herself with the inner workings of Leinster House as she is currently a parliamentary assistant to Sinn Fein TD Arthur Morgan.

    Tying necks at the moment, I really hope Kathryn gets through. I’ll not go on my usual rant right now but to put it simply I believe quite strongly that we need more people from the younger generations having a say. It’s TD’s like Kathryn that will show people that our age group can, and should, be taken seriously. We are the future after all.
