      Sinn Féin have nominated 35-year-old community activist Martin Kelly as the party's candidate in Kildare North. Though Kelly has no formal political experience, he lists the campaigns against head shops and the petition to have traffic lights installed at the Sallins/Osberstown road junction as examples of his community involvement. This is his first general election campaign.
