4. #CARE HOME: The trial of five Áras Attracta care workers has opened at a court in Mayo, RTÉ News reports. Each are facing a single charge of assault.

5. #THE TRUMP: Property tycoon Donald Trump has released his first TV campaign ad. The Republican presidential front-runner’s commercial started off by reminding viewers of the San Bernardino, California, mass shooting last month.
