Google Building A Bridge Pic of the Day

The glass-encased walkway will be lit up with LED lights at night when it is complete.

THIS WAS THE scene witnessed by reader Beibhinn Ronan on Barrow Street this morning.

“You could have heard a pin drop as they were hoisting it up,” she told TheJournal.ie.

When complete, the three-armed, link bridge will connect the 2nd floor of Google’s Gordon House and Gasworks office and the first floor of the Google Docks building on the western side.

Made of mostly steel and glass, it will be 4.2 metres in depth and is elevated 7.9 metres above the street.

There will be LED lighting installed for illumination at night time. And will look a little something like this:
