Pensioner in her 70s seriously injured in road crash

The woman is being treated in Beaumont Hospital.

A WOMAN in her 70s was seriously injured when she was struck by a car this morning.

The pedestrian was hit on Grange Road, Donaghmede, Dublin at around 10.05am, according to gardaí.

She was taken to Beaumont Hospital where she is described as being in a serious condition.
A garda spokesperson said:

The male driver and female passenger of the car, who are in their late 60s, were uninjured.

“Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, particularly those who were in the area of the Holy Trinity Church this morning or the Donaghmede Shopping Centre to contact them at Coolock Garda Station on 01 – 6664200, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.”
