Man (27) arrested in connection with Phoenix Park murder

The man is being detained at Finglas Garda Station.

A MAN HAS been arrested in connection with the murder of a man whose body was found in the Phoenix Park last week.

Gardaí investigating the death of the man, whose body was discovered near Wellington Road in Dublin’s Phoenix Park on Friday 29 November, have arrested a man in his twenties in connection with the incident.

The man, who is aged 27, is currently being detained at Finglas Garda Station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Earlier today, Archbishop Diarmuid Martin spoke during his homily at the Church of Saint Andrew of how he was “horrified” when he heard of the murder.
