YOUNG PAINTERS ALL across Ireland have painted what they dream about – and the results are quite something.
Sightsavers Ireland announced the winners of its Junior Painter Awards at the Science Gallery in Dublin earlier today, with Anya Clarke-Carr from Ratoath National School, Co Meath, being named as the overall winner.
Anya’s school was awarded a €1000 cash prize, donated by The Irish Times, a €500 art hamper and €250 voucher from The Art & Hobby Shop.
Meanwhile, Billy McCabe from Castletown National School, Co Meath, came in second followed by  Cara Taheny from Carn National School, Co Sligo. Both of their schools received cash prizes from The Irish Times and vouchers from The Art & Hobby Shop.
All the entries are beautiful however – take a look for yourself…
