Post mortem results due after death of woman in Kilkenny

The woman, named locally as Siobhán Stapleton, was discovered injured outside her family home in Thomastown yesterday.

THE RESULTS OF a post mortem examination being carried out to establish the cause of death of a woman in Co Kilkenny are expected later today.

The woman has been named locally as Siobhán Stapleton.

Stapleton, 51, was discovered injured outside her home in Thomastown, Co Kilkenny, yesterday.

She was first removed to nearby St Luke’s Hospital but passed away while being transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, RTÉ reports.

Gardaí say investigations are continuing.
