AER LINGUS SAW a boost in the total number of passengers flying with the airline last month.
Figures published this morning puts total passenger traffic at 974,000, up 12.2 per cent compared to the same period the year previous.
The airline puts this increase in traffic down to the Easter bank holiday weekend taking place later than normal, with long-haul numbers being boosted by the introduction of flights to San Francisco and Toronto.
Almost 35 per cent more passengers flew with Aer Lingus Regional scheduled services last month compared to year previous.
Passenger numbers increased more than 177,000 compared to March 2014, with an improvement also seen in load factor.
