Two Irishmen charged with gun offences in Amsterdam today
Of the four men who were arrested Sunday, one man has been charged with attempted manslaughter.

TWO IRISHMEN AND two men from the UK have been charged with gun-related offences in a Dutch court today.
Three of the men have been charged with possession of a firearm, while the fourth has been charged with attempted manslaughter, according to early reports from RTÉ.
The men were arrested in Rembrandt Square in Amsterdam on Sunday, after allegedly threatening to use a firearm in the Square.
Police said that at around 8.45pm on Sunday, a police unit on Rembrandt Square was stopped by a man who said he had been threatened with a firearm. He told police that the person who he said had threatened him then went into the Smokey Bar on the square.
Multiple units came to assist those officers at the Rembrandt after they entered the bar to follow up on the man’s allegations. The first suspect was arrested, followed by three other men who were also in the bar.
Police subsequently found three firearms which were taken for investigation. One was found in a bin and the others hidden under chairs, Dutch police said.
