Two men shot dead in County Antrim named by police

Arthur Gibson aged 61 and Michael Murphy aged 37 were found dead on a farm in Glenarm yesterday afternoon.

THE TWO MEN that were found dead in at a farm in Glenarm, County Antrim yesterday have been named as 61-year-old Arthur Gibson and 37-year-old Michael Murphy.

Police were called to a property in the Feystown Road area of Glenarm at around 5.15pm yesterday afternoon after they were alerted to the discovery of the two men with fatal wounds.

PSNI detectives are working to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and have returned to the scene this morning along with forensic experts to carry out a detailed examination.

Speculation

The police say that they are aware of  ”speculation regarding this incident and say they are examining a number of possible scenarios and lines of enquiry and it would not be appropriate to comment further at this time”.

Post mortem examinations will be carried out in the next few days.
