POLICE IN NORTHERN Ireland have arrested a man who reportedly travelled the wrong way down the M1 motorway yesterday morning.
The 45-year-old driver has been charged with dangerous driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.
He is due to appear before Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on 16 October.
The PSNI is keen to speak to anyone who saw a black Hyundai vehicle driving the wrong direction down the country-bound carriageway of the M1 between Junction 15 Dungannon and Junction 14 Tamnamore at around 6am yesterday.
They are particularly eager to speak to the driver of a white box lorry that was travelling on the city-bound carriageway of the motorway around this time.
