'People are delighted when they see the yellow van arrive': On patrol with the AA

We spent a morning with an AA Patrol driver.

PEOPLE ARE OFTEN happy to see Lar Byrne.

He works as a roadside mechanic for the AA, helping motorists get back on the road after a breakdown.

The job has its dangers – this can range from changing a tyre at the side of the M50, to fending off sheepdogs.

We went on a trip around Dublin for a morning of breakdowns with him.
