A 21-YEAR-OLD WOMAN who was arrested in relation to a serious assault in Dublin in which part of another woman’s nose was bitten off has been released without charge by Gardaí.
The woman had been arrested on Friday morning and was being held at Pearse Street Garda station in Dublin’s city centre after the serious attack in the early hours of Sunday morning on George’s Quay, close to Tara Street station.
The 23-year-old victim underwent surgery at St James’s Hospital on Wednesday to treat her facial injuries. Speaking on RTE Radio One’s Liveline during the week, her father described the attack as “disgusting”.
A file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
