SWIMMING IS FORBIDDEN at four Dublin beaches over water quality deterioration due to “suspected sewage discharge from waste water treatment”.
The beaches affected are:
- Skerries south beach
- Balbriggan front strand beach
- Rush north beach
- Loughshinny beach
Fingal County Council issued the 72-hour warnings on Saturday.
People are being warned that they may become ill from the bacteria if they swim in the water.
