Irish Big Brother contestant says Ireland's "quite backward" when it comes to sex

There now.

DUBLIN MODEL JADE Martina Lynch has been revealed as the only Irish person to be heading into the Big Brother house this year – and she has some interesting opinions on her fellow countrymen.

In an interview with Digital Spy, she said she thinks people in Ireland, sexually, are “quote backward because it’s very Catholic”. That might be because Jade is polyamorous and she thinks non-exclusive relationships are the business.

“Polyamory to me is freedom of your soul, freedom to express yourself, sexual freedom. It’s all about freedom for me,” she said in her interview.

“People don’t seem to grasp that concept, because I don’t want to go and cheat on someone and break the trust and hurt them and give them a negative emotion. I want them to have a positive experience and a positive emotion. And if everyone was free and polyamorous and open I genuinely think we’d be a lot happier.”

She has no plans to have sex in the Big Brother house, however. While she’s happy to speak very freely about the fact that she’s polyamorous, she still feels the actual act is personal and private.

Not only is she in favour of being in a relationship with more than one person at a time, the Dublin model believes the Catholic Church is “a bit of a cult”.

“I think the Catholic religion in particular is a cult and I could get very controversial if the subject was to come up and someone was to challenge me on this. The priests – I won’t get into it right now but it’s not good in Ireland, the people know about it, and I would be the one to come out and say it and probably get myself in trouble if someone challenged me on it.”

So, it should be a relatively interesting show this year.
