Death of 50-year-old in Donegal treated as 'suspicious'

Kieran Callaghan’s body was discovered at a house in Roshin yesterday afternoon.

GARDAÍ IN DONEGAL investigating the death of a 50-year-old man, whose body was found yesterday afternoon, are treating it as suspicious, they said today.

Kieran Callaghan’s body was discovered at a house in Roshin, Milford at approximately 1.30pm yesterday.

The State Pathologist completed a post mortem today and further tests and results are awaited. Following consultation with the State Pathologist, gardaí said they are treating the death as suspicious at this time pending test results and further investigation.

Gardaí have appealed to the public in tracing the whereabouts and last movements of Callaghan who is from Roshin, between Thursday the 4 July and Sunday the 7 July at 1.30pm. He was last seen in the Churchill area of Letterkenny at approximately 6pm on 5 July.

The man is described as being 5’10” in height with grey hair and of thin build.
