Gardaí say they are investigating all circumstances surrounding the death.

THE BODY OF a woman in her late 20s has been found at a house in Mayo.

Gardaí say they are investigating all circumstances surrounding the death after the woman’s body was discovered at the isolated house near Mayo Abbey, close to Castlebar, at around 12 noon today.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and the body remains at the scene.

Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis is due to arrive at the house shortly.
