320 cannabis plants worth €250,000 seized in Fermoy

Three men are due to appear in court today.

CANNABIS WORTH AN estimated €250,000 has been seized in Fermoy, Co Cork.

A house was searched at Rathealy Road, Fermoy on Saturday as part of a joint operation between gardaí from Fermoy and Portlaoise.

During the course of the search gardaí discovered approximately 320 cannabis plants (subject to analysis) with an approximate street value of €250,000.

Three men (aged 38, 51 and 55) were arrested and have since been charged in connection with the incident. They are due to appear before a special sitting of Mallow District Court at midday today.

Investigations are ongoing.
