Cork victim died of head trauma and stab wounds

Gardaí are continuing the investigation into the incident in Togher early this morning in which two other people were also injured.

A POST MORTEM on the man who died following a confrontation in Cork early this morning has established that his death was due to a combination of head trauma and stab wounds.

The man has been named as 51-year-old Gerard Delaney of Mahon in Cork.

Gardaí have said there was a row between a large group of people outside a pub in Ballyphehane in Cork in the early hours of this morning.

The investigation is continuing and no arrests have been made.

A man and a woman were also injured in the incident. Their injuries are not believed to be live threatening.
