SIX PEOPLE HAVE been arrested in connection with the investigation into the suspected murder of criminal gang boss Eamon Kelly this week.
The four men and two women, ranging in ages between mid-20s and early 40s, were arrested in the Dublin area this morning.
They are being held in Coolock, Ballymun and Raheny Garda stations under the Offences Against the State Act.
Yesterday, 34-year-old Sean Connolly from Bluebell in Dublin, was charged with the murder of Kelly as well as IRA membership and possession of a firearm.
Kelly, 65, was shot while walking on Furry Park Road in Killester in north Dublin on Tuesday afternoon. He later died in hospital.
He was believed to be one of the most senior figures in organised crime in Ireland.
