Biography

Elected first as a Waterford county councillor in 2004, he served on the council until he was elected to the Seanad Labour Panel in 2011. He has challenged unsuccessfully for a Dáil seat three times in the past and is the Sinn Féin party spokesperson on workers' rights and political reform.

Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?

I will work for workers' rights, universal access to decent public services and an end to corruption and cronyism in public life.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

My number one priority is housing, followed by jobs and access to decent public healthcare for everyone.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Address the housing crisis by introducing rent control and a sustained public housing building programme.
