Biography

Elected first as a Cork county councillor in 2004, he was first elected to the Dáil in 2007 and retained his seat in the 2011 general election. He is the current Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Finance and is a member of the Banking Inquiry.

Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?

During my time as a TD, I have given it my all and I would like to continue that work with the support of the people of Cork South-Central.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Locally, projects such as the Cork flood relief scheme, the N28 road, the Events Centre and a viable future for Cork Airport are vital.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

I would hope to be able to make a meaningful difference for the people on the issues that really matter to them in their daily lives.
