Kathleen Funchion

Party: Sinn Féin
Constituency: Carlow-Kilkenny
Date of Birth: 1981

SIPTU organiser Kathleen Funchion is one of two Sinn Féin candidates challenging for a seat in Carlow-Kilkenny. 2009 was a busy year at the polls for Funchion who unsuccessfully contested the European elections in the East constituency and also failed to win a seat on Kilkenny County Council. She was, however, elected to Kilkenny Borough Council in June 2009 and currently serves as a town councillor.
