'I know the last 3 budgets were very hard for you': Here's what Enda had to say today

The Taoiseach has issued his statement on today’s budget announcement.

ENDA KENNY HAS welcomed Budget 2015 by asserting “we will never repeat the economic mistakes of the past”.

Reacting to today’s announcement the Taoiseach also applauded the work that the Irish people have put into setting the country on the path to recovery.

I know that the last three budgets were very hard for you and for your families, but they were part of the plan to get Ireland back on track and to get our people back to work.

In the address Kenny repeated his assertion that his Government’s economic measures aim at “making Ireland the best small country in the world to do business”.

He concludes his speech by saying, “in our decisions there will be no risks to the economy, no slipping back, today’s budget then is a new start for our country. It is thanks to you we have achieved the recovery we have worked for.”
