Open thread: What are your go-to feel good tunes?

First Fortnight, Ireland’s mental health music festival, starts today.

TODAY MARKS NOT only the first day of the year, but also the first day of First Fortnight.

Now in its sixth year, First Fortnight 2015 will see live music, film, theatre and visual arts events staged across Dublin, aiming to create open discussion and understanding of mental health problems, and challenge prejudice and discrimination.

First Fortnight 2015 will open in Christ Church Cathedral on today at 7pm with Resolution, a “90-minute exploration of life from people who have met adversity and challenge with courage and compassion”.

Part of the event is Co-Motion, a musical walking experience.

Hundreds of people are expected to gather in St Stephen’s Green on 4 January, armed with their four-song playlist of “songs that get them through”. They’ll then be paired up with another randomly selected participant.

We’re asking, what would be on your playlist?
