A clear and realistic path in work as to what you can achieve in the workplace helps employees set goals and aspirations, and motivates them to work to achieve these ambitions. Following through on promises is also key in the workplace, as employees need to believe their employers have their best interests at heart.

Employees are often asked by their workplace to be loyal to them, and it is important to remember that loyalty should work both ways.
