Guns and ammunition found near Armagh school

The discovery was made by police investigating dissident terrorist activity.

POLICE IN ARMAGH uncovered guns and ammunition at a waste ground close to a primary school in Craigavon earlier today.

Detectives from the Serious Crime Branch said they found a number of suspected firearms, a quantity of ammunition and other items during a search in the Pinebank area.

The operation was part of a probe into dissident terrorist activity.

The materials have been taken away for further examination and an appeal for information has been made.
