THE HARDY BUCKS has begun filming its third series.
Fans of the comedy show will be glad to hear the Castletown boys will be back on our screens in the autumn.
Eddie & The Viper will be joined by some new female leads, Fair City’s Aoibheann McCaul (Caoimhe Dillon) and Susan Loughnane from Love/Hate (Debbie).
RTÉ 2 has said the “the lads get caught up in a Mayo love triangle”, which should be interesting.
When series three kicks off, the Viper will be trying to come to terms with a broken heart while running his new business venture.
Eddie and Buzz may or may not have met the women of their dreams, Frenchtoast may or may not be back on the sauce and Boo and Koffi may or may not be getting married.
So many questions.
Hardy Bucks Producer and Director Mike Cockayne said the team is happy to be working on the show again.
“It’s great to be back filming again, we’re like family now and I really feel that this series will be the best yet. The lads are all on top form and the biggest challenge we’re going to face is fitting all of this great material into a half hour.”
Channel Controller for RTÉ2 Bill Malone said: “RTÉ2 is passionate about creating original Irish comedy and I’m delighted to announce that Hardy Bucks is returning to RTÉ2 for a third series. After the success of their feature film, viewers will get to see what’s next for the Hardy Bucks crew.”
The Hardy Bucks Movie was released in 2013.
