Man in his 20s questioned over Skerries death

GARDAÍ ARE CONTINUING to question a man in his 20s who was arrested in connection with the death of a man in north county Dublin last night.

The man was arrested shortly after the discovery of the body at a house in Mourne Park in Skerries at 6pm on Thursday.

The victim was in his 50s. RTÉ News reports that he had been babysitting his two grandchildren when he was attacked and stabbed to death inside the front door of the house.

The arrested man is currently detained at Ballymun Garda Station and the investigation is continuing.
