From dark to light: There's more than meets the eye inside this €745k Kildare bungalow
Kylebeg featured on RTÉ’s Home of the Year.
WITH A DARK grey exterior and few windows, Kylebeg appears to the unknowing passer-by to be a dark, minimalistic structure. The inside, however, is quite the opposite.
A five-bedroom property, Kylebeg featured on RTÉ’s Home of the Year in 2015 – and it’s clear to see why. The building comprises three interlinked blocks, each of which are flooded with natural light thanks to the inclusion of light chimneys, glass ceilings and solid Iroko-framed windows, which double as doors leading outside.
One of the three blocks spans two-storeys and is home to the five bedrooms, while the other two blocks are single-storey and boast double height ceilings. Throughout the property, there’s a mix of semi-solid limed oak flooring and terrazzo flooring.

Kylebeg sits on half an acre of mature gardens, with an array of trees and shrubbery including fruit trees and an old well, as well as wrap-around decking.
Prosperous town is just a five-minute drive away, while Sallins can be reached within a 10-minute car ride. If you fancy commuting to the city centre, the journey will take about an hour.
