Someone is selling "Nidge's watch" on the internet

What time is it? Crime time.

IN A CASE of art imitating life that felt kind of like life imitating art, a watch purportedly worn by Nidge in RTÉ’s Love/Hate has appeared on Adverts.ie.

The ad is reminiscent of the Criminal Assets Bureau’s sale of a ladies Rolex watch earlier this year.

However, while that sale starting the bidding at €6,000, Nidge’s mate is only looking for €450.

The ad claims that the watch was worn by Tom Vaughan-Lawlor during shooting the latest series of the crime drama and was “acquired due to connections within RTE Studios”.

RTÉ have not responded to an enquiry a to whether this is legit or just somebody chancing their arm.

But the seller says in the comments:

“No proof as such but I wouldn’t lie putting it up if it wasn’t you can either trust my word or not it’s totally up to yourselves.”

TheJournal.ie is part of Journal Media Ltd, which has some shareholders in common with shareholders in Adverts.ie.
