Green line Luas trams can't get out of their depot this morning...

Once more those in the south of the city will have to find alternative modes of transportation today.

THE SOUTHSIDE GREEN Luas line in Dublin is currently out of service due to a technical issue.

Customers are encouraged to source alternative modes of transportation this morning. All Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus.

The issue is not related to the ongoing industrial relations dispute between Luas employees and operator Transdev.

A full strike was held on all Luas services yesterday.

“This is not an industrial relations issue,” a spokesperson for the service told TheJournal.ie.

It’s a technical issue in the Sandyford area. A crew has been working to resolve it since 5am this morning. There is no Green line service at present as a result.

The spokesperson could not give an estimated time for the issue to be resolved.

It’s understood that the technical issue relates to a problem at Sandyford depot, and that it is not currently possible for trams to leave their holding berths.
