Man in his 60s stabbed to death in Limerick

The stabbing occured at an apartment on Dock Road in the city.

GARDAÍ IN LIMERICK are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred at an apartment on Dock Road in the city.

The incident left a man in his 60s dead.

At approximately 2am this morning Gardai were called to the apartment after the man was stabbed. He was brought to University Hospital Limerick where he was later pronounced dead.

The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses or to anyone who can assist with the investigation to contact them at Henry Street Garda Station on 061-212400, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
