DAVID MAHON HAS APPEARED in court charged with the murder of Dean Fitzpatrick, whose sister Amy vanished in Spain six years ago.
Mahon (43), who is the partner of Fitzpatrick’s mother, made no reply when charged with the murder at Coolock Garda Station according to RTÉ News.
23-year-old Fitzpatrick was stabbed to death last May near his home in Northern Cross, Dublin 5.
He was found with multiple stab wounds on the Malahide Road. Mahon was arrested and subsequently released without charge while a file was prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Dean was the brother of Amy Fitzpatrick, who was 15-years-old when she vanished in Spain six years ago. She was last seen leaving a friend’s house in Fuengirola at around 9pm on New Year’s Day 2008.
